My name is Taylor Morgan. I donated my kidney to my father, Richard, in July 2021. I thank God for this experience and am so thankful the surgery and recovery went well. I come from a very close family and have a special bond with my Dad. I feel like the bond has only grown stronger after this surgery.

About 8 years before the kidney donation, my dad learned he had cancer on one of his kidneys. They removed that kidney and over the next 8 years, his other kidney started failing. I am so thankful that with this donation, I was able to add years to my Dad’s life and can create many more memories together! We both are doing well and are healthy!

Since donation, I have met many wonderful people who have already donated, are in the process of donating, or wanting more information on donation. I know I was called to do this because it has inspired others to also save lives. I always say I wish I had more kidneys to donate, because I would 100 percent do it a million more times. It has been the most rewarding gift to help!
