Logan was the most loving, giving and kindhearted individual I know. He would drop everything to do anything to help anyone in need. This may sound like a biased mom speaking but I asked some of his friends and this is what they had to say about Logan.

“He would give the shirt off his back to anyone”

“At work he would take time to help the people that didn’t understand something”

“He held the door open for others”

“He would do whatever he could to make someone smile or laugh”

“Logan was always ready to give without wanting anything in return”

“Going out to eat with him and sometimes he would pay for other people’s meal without them knowing”

His friends knew him well!

Logan had a strong work ethic and enjoyed his job. He loved interacting with people. You may have heard the phrase “never met a stranger” well that describes my son.

Logan’s boss used this statement to describe him

“He changed our culture just by being himself”

Life was good, he was happy, he loved his job and he was a very proud daddy to his two boys.

Logan’s donation story began when he was 16 years old. After playing paintball he was removing his protective goggles as he exited the field when he was shot in his left eye. The injury he sustained from the impact required Logan to have a cornea transplant. It was because of the selfless gift of a donor that Logan decided to register to be an organ, eye, and tissue donor.

Fourteen years later, at the age of 30, Logan’s desire to be a donor became a reality when a gentleman failed to yield the right of way at a traffic light. Through Logan’s eye and tissue donations he has been able to improve the lives of 543 people.

I am so proud of my son!
