Krizia Lauren Keiser

Krizia Lauren was born on June 13, 1994, to John R. and Martha Gonzalez Keiser. Krizia was always a lively, happy girl who brought smiles wherever she went. Recognized as Student of the Year in kindergarten, she continued to have many accomplishments throughout her school years. Krizia graduated Class of 2012 from J. B. Alexander High School.
Krizia always looked forward to owning a car. The day she finally got her driver’s license she walked in saying “Mom, did you know I can donate my organs if I die? This is great, I can actually donate everything!” She had signed up to be an organ donor. Little did we know that less than six months after getting her license her wish to be a donor would be granted. Krizia passed away of a massive aneurysm a week shy of her 19th birthday on June 6, 2013. With her noble gift of organ donation she was able to give life to three lucky recipients: one received both lungs, another received her liver and another recipient got her kidney and pancreas and improved the lives of many by donating her tissue. We have received response from all three recipients and they are all living a wonderful, healthy life.
Knowing Krizia’s wish to help others was fulfilled gives us comfort in knowing part of her is still with us. To date, Krizia’a Memorial Foundation has given over $75,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors from her alma mater.
