Julie has a heart of GOLD! A mother of two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons, and an amazing wife to Howie! She is the youngest of 12, and it was her brother whom she donated her kidney to! He had declining health for many years and was on dialysis. Julie was a perfect match, coming from Ontario, Canada! The process was timely given the distance, but she went back and forth, and completed all the necessary testing! Her brother showed signs of improvement immediately after transplantation! Julie was back home in Ontario two weeks after surgery and is feeling great except for being tired, off and on! I am nominating Julie, and I am a Donor Mom. My son saved three lives and enhanced the lives of 29 others, in June 2000. I could not be prouder of my dear friend for her selflessness and her incredible gift to her brother!
