Geoffrey Wasden

Organ Donor Hall of Fame Icon

Geoff registered to be an Organ Donor when he received his Driver’s License at the age of 18.  He died by suicide and was able to donate his corneas, heart valve, bone and tissue.  His corneas provided sight to a 45 year-old woman and a 70 year-old man.  His other donations are unknown, but his heart valve most likely saved the life of a child and his bone and tissue donations may have healed as many as 75 people.

Geoff was an adorable, kind, athletic, endearing, funny and stubborn young man.   He was a great athlete and played baseball, football, lacrosse and golf.  He was predominantly right-handed but batted and golfed left-handed.  When he wasn’t playing sports, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the beach, riding bikes and fishing.  Geoff also liked to cook, especially frying foods and, fittingly so, he worked at KFC.

Geoff was a son, grandson, brother and friend who will be forever loved and missed.
