Colt Gentry

Colt was such a wild child but yet a sweetheart. We often called him our “sour patch kid”. He loved coco melon & dinosaurs and always picked the blue and green ones.
Colt is our middle child and loves his brothers so much, they were all 3 the bestest of friends.
On June 8, 2021 myself, colt, and my younger son, Memphis, were in an accident with a semi and 3 days later we received the news from the medical professionals that Colt wouldn’t survive his injuries.
My husband, Arron and I inquired about organ donation and we began the process of donation and 3 days later we were taken down to the PACU and Colt’s breathing tube was removed and he passed in my arms, as I was singing to him.
Colt was able to donate his Kidneys and his heart valves/heart tissue.
We have been in contact with Colt’s kidney recipient for about a year now and we are so honored that he has chosen to let us be a part of his family.
Colt lives on and is a true hero to others through his gift of life.
“There is no greater gift than giving life to someone you do not know. We have all been created equally and to know that you or your loved one saved the life of another is a beautiful blessing”-Chloe Gentry (Colts Mama)
