In life and in death, Bradley Jameson was a hero. For all of his 18 years, he was a devoted son, brother and friend. There were no limits to his appreciation for family traditions and celebrations. He loved his sisters and brother. He was intensely loyal to his friends, and so enjoyed all of his time spent with them. A better friend you could not find.

Born February 2, 1989, Bradley was an active in sports. He was blessed with a soccer player’s sense of independence and irreverence. He had an intuitive understanding of the game, a sure foot, and a pure enjoyment of time spent with the other boys on his team. Success on the soccer field led to success as a kicker on the football field. This was a boy with a great laugh, a devilish streak of humor, and a huge heart. If there was a friend in need, he was there in any way that he could be.

On his own initiative, Bradley indicated his willingness to be an organ donor on his driver’s license. To him, it just seemed the right thing to do. Neither of his parents were surprised to know of his decision when an accidental fall left him with injuries that were not survivable. The decision to donate his organs was completely consistent with his intentions.

On September 16, 2007, a final act of heroism took place with the assistance of the Mid-South Transplant Foundation employees working at the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Several families saw their loved ones lives extended through the receipt of this 18 year old’s young and healthy organs. Over time, Bradley’s family has developed a wonderful relationship with the then 15 year old boy who was the recipient of Bradley’s heart and his family.

Bradley’s generous spirit continues to give gifts for those he left behind.
