Ryan Caulder
Ryan was a 12 year old boy who couldn’t continue his fight with mental illness. A week before his 13th birthday, May 7th, 2024, he committed suicide. He was more than his mental illness. He was funny, loving, caring, and brave. He always had people laughing. He was not only a son, but he was a twin. Ryan and his fraternal brother, Richard, were super close. They enjoyed playing football and video games together. He has a little sister who was 6 at the time. He was protective over the people he loved. The people who met him never know how much he was struggling. He kept me, his mother, moving and encouraged me to be the person and mom I am today. He enjoyed being goofy and having dance parties with me and his siblings. He saved 4 people’s lives with his organ donations. I decided I didn’t want him to only be remembered for committing suicide because there was so much more to him than that. I wanted people to remember that he’s truly a hero. I would always tell him he would do amazing things one day and I wasn’t wrong. Thanks to organ donation Ryan truly IS a Hero. I’m so, SO proud of my boy!
