In 2015, Andrea survived a near-fatal car accident. It was this nearly tragic event that began her journey with organ donation and advocacy for those in need. Andrea has used social media to champion campaigns aimed at finding living donors for others, creates cheer kits for pediatric dialysis patients, and utilizes her platform as the current USOA Mrs. Waukesha County to raise awareness. She serves on the board and multiple committees of the NKF of Wisconsin.

On December 4, 2024, Andrea became an altruistic living kidney donor. She is a true testament to the power of one person. Andrea strives to create a community where compassion knows no bounds and generosity is a way of life.
