David Salazar
David loved any adventure he could find, and his favorite place was anywhere he could be on the back of his motorcycle. Using that motorcycle David joined his motorcycle club and threw himself into any opportunity to actively serve the community. With his club brothers, David participated in drives to raise funds for individual medical costs, supplies for the homeless in Fort Worth, Christmas toys for the less fortunate, and much more. David often rode with a toy motorcycle in his saddlebag to share with any child along the way that liked his bike. He found family in the club and enjoyed being the boots on the ground to serve others. David’s legacy of compassion, selflessness, and servant’s heart will continue to inspire and allow countless others to live because of his organ donor status.
The relationship David had with his daughter was unlike any other. From an early age, he ensured they spent quality time, including “Daddy Daughter days” where she would come home with a mountain of toys, candy, and photos of their adventures. In our daughter. you can see David’s easy smile, joyful spirit, infectious laugh, and fierce determination.
He was an avid fan of the Cowboys, Mexican National League Soccer, country music, and the movie Grease. David now rests with is savior Jesus Christ. His favorite verse was Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” We are incredibly proud of his donation and consider him a miracle.
