My 14 year old son needed a kidney transplant.  We had the local newspapers, facebook and whoever we could tell that my son needed a kidney.  I was taking a class the year before and one of the students (Rebecca Hickmott) I had taken the class with reached out and asked how she could be tested to be a donor.  I gave her the information, not thinking much about it because the process to give an organ was very tough, we had several people already turned down.  I didn’t want to get my hopes up.  I didn’t hear anything for quite some time and when the phone call came in that there was a possible match I called Rebecca. Of course we had to wait a few more months of testing to make sure it was a go and on November 17, 2023 my son Hunter Molyneux received the gift of life from Rebecca.  I also should point out that Rebecca had never had any kind of surgery what so ever, she wasn’t a fan of needles or doctors but went through with it anyways so my son could have a normal childhood.  Rebecca is a true hero!
