Facts & Figures

Presently, there are over 118,000 people waiting for a life saving/life changing organ transplant.

18 people die needlessly, every day, waiting for a compatible organ to become available.

One organ donor may save the lives of up to eight people through organ transplants. These eight organs are: heart, liver, two kidneys, pancreas,  two lungs and intestine.

The only organ able to be transplanted from a living donor is the kidney, as you are born with two, and only need one to live a healthy life, as our living donors in the Organ Donor Hall of Fame can attest to.
